Sandy Bay Beach!

A little village.  Sandy Bay was refurbished in 2014 with it's Golden sand of the Western Sahara and a couple of breakwaters were constructed to keep the sand in.  Some sea-storms swept most of it's sand away a number of years ago.  

It is located in the Eastern Mediterranean Coast of Gibraltar on the opposite side of the Rock from the Main City.  

It is accesable via Sir Herbert Miles Road and it is situated to the South of Catalan Bay, another amazing beautiful beach.

Directly above Sandy Bay were Gibraltar's large water catchments, which are no longer in use.  The slopes above used to catch the rain-water flow which fed into the reservoir system inside the Rock
